2023 Volkswagen Golf GTI

My 2023 VW Golf GTI S is the first car I’ve ever purchased accomplishing my dream to own a car under my name that I am able to work on. The reason I’ve bought this car is that I had experience driving both a Stage 1 MK7 GTI and stock MK7 GLI. Both vehicles are fantastic in their performance and their day to day usability which put a positive impression on me as I came from a Toyota only family.
I have conducted extensive research on other cars before purchasing my MK8, but a good friend recommended me to purchase a brand new car and with the timing of the MK8 being released, I made my decision.
I do slightly regret purchasing my MK8 as truly wanted a JDM car, but my car had brought me into a different perspective of Euro cars which I now deeply appreciate. But hey that’s what getting a 2nd car is for.
Currently after 1 year of ownership I whole heartily enjoy driving my MK8 and plan to make it the best daily It can be and possibly take to an auto cross event.
