1979 International CXT
The Story
This was my Father's 1979 International Harvester Scout ii. It was built in my home home town Fort Wayne IN at the harvester plant. It started out as my Grandfathers scout but it needed major repairs. My father bought it from him and restored it to the pictures you see here! He restored it to help commemorate my families contribution to harvester (and to build an AWESOME truck lol). My family has over 120 years of service to International Harvester. Fun fact my Great Great Grandfather actually helped build the Fort Wayne Plant! My family was absolutely devastated when they shut the plant in Fort Wayne. My family never fully recovered from it. My father's scout in my mind is the best truck ever and I hope to see it again someday. Due to the financial crisis of 2008 and my father starting his business he was forced to sell it. I cried when it was loaded it up on the new owners trailer and it headed to Missouri. I haven't seen it since. If you've seen this truck or know where it is PLEASE dm me on Instagram @Sally_the_saturn_sl2 my family would love to see it again. Whenever I hear the roar of a 345 I about cry because of what this truck meant to me. I am into cars because of this truck and I would love to see it once more.
