1985 Chevrolet El Camino
The Story
This is my 1985 El camino that I've been rebuilding since I bought it back in 2019, it was primered black with sandable primer, came on old powder coated wheels, the interior was saddle brown and it had a 262 EFI engine.
Over the course of the years since then, I've reupholstered the interior all black (bucket seats, carpets, console, and added some serape to give it a little color), dyed the door panels, bought some baby moons so it would sit nice and pretty, added a floor mounted ratcheting shifter, and swapped the 262 for a carbureted 1960 327 sbc bored .40 over with a rv cam and it now has a TH350 transmission.
It was recently painted two years ago, we sanded it down to bare metal twice before sending it to the shop to get painted and this car is the accumulation of 6 years (and future years) of hard work, dedication, blood, sweat, tears, and memories built with my grandpa. It's not perfect by any means but it tells a story, and I'm happy to have the opportunity to share this with you all.
