2018 Toyota Corolla
The Story
I was always into cars since I was a kid, started off taking auto shop classes in highschool then I joined the Marines afterwards as a diesel technician for 4 years. I’ve been stationed to Okinawa, Japan my first 2 years in the fleet which was a big dream of mine to go there, then I went back to the states for my last year in North Carolina. Now I like to do unconventional things, something people wouldn’t expect a person to do, why not start with a Corolla. The Corolla platform had its glory days from even before the AE86, it may not be the same rear wheel drive, tofu delivering, mountain drifting car but I would like to try and do the same concept of using a simple car into something better, something no one would expect. Most of the work I did myself, of course with the assistance of using my friends garages as I currently live in an apartment complex, the struggles. At first it was more for just daily driving and show, then I started getting into autocross and slowly making my way down to doing road racing. With the minimal amount of aftermarket support, of course it would be difficult to compete with others in motorsports but that doesn’t stop me. Currently going to school for welding in NJ, I graduated Universal Technical Institute in PA for Auto/ diesel and the Ford program.
