2005 Volvo S40
The Story
It’s always been a challenge to find a car that is a rarity in the modified car scene, I’m sure I'm not the only one when I say. I have never seen a properly modified S40 at a car show, and why would you. They are very boring-looking cars when they come standard from the factory. So there I saw a challenge in itself to try and do something different and something that would make someone walk past and go what was that… a Volvo…
So while I was working away on a ship I spent every evening on Auto Trader looking for the car that would suit the bill, I flew back from Costa Rica on Christmas eve of 2018, and within 2 hours of being back in the UK, I had bought the S40 that would become an obsession and passion for the last few years.
People might not be happy with this, But I took my main inspiration from the (Bippu) JDM VIP scene. I know the car is not Japanese so it's a bit of a fake in that respect. But I love the style of big saloons with quirky interiors and with large stance and wheels. It's the kind of style that is not seen in any other scene. With this being such a unique style, I thought I would do my own interpretation and do something that hasn't been done (Properly for a reason) or scene, which led me down the road to creating a VIP-style Volvo.
