The Story

My previous MK8 GTI was very reliable yet proved too costly to maintain overtime and not to mention minor repairs that are too convoluted to fix. I had decided it was time to look for another vehicle that was easy to work on for cheap, but most importantly have a manual transmission. The BRZ/FRS/86 had been on my crosshairs for a while amongst other cars I’ve looked at, but thorough research proved the 86 is a viable option that not only solved the gripes I’ve had with my MK8, but also is a great pick to learn to drive stick shift on and all for a decent price. I bit the bullet and traded my beloved MK8, bid it farewell and welcomed my new to me Toyota 86, Vodka(named after that horse girl in that horse game lol)! Learning manual on her for the first time was pretty tough for the first couple days but I am getting better overtime and learning new techniques that help me become a better driver. I daily drive Vodka and plan to have many mods later down the road, but I can tell now that either road tripping her or taking her to the track, she will always be a blast drive.
