2021 Subaru WRX STI
The Story
My previous car was a modified 2012 Mini Cooper S, but I’ve always been a very big fan of JDM cars. My first car was supposed to be a blobeye WRX finished in WRB, but the seller blew the motor. So, when I was shopping around, I was looking at BMWs, Audis, other hatches, and of course, the Supra and the STI. I had quite literally outgrown the Mini; I couldn’t comfortably fit much into the car, and I like to bike and snowboard. I needed something with more space, something that gave me a driving experience that was on par with the Mini, and something that was equal parts function, equal parts form. Nothing seemed to scratch the itch and check all the boxes for me like the STI could. I travel a lot for work and live in NY, so the AWD system was a huge plus over a lot of other cars I was looking at, not to mention that classic rumble! I picked up my car in late May of ‘21 and have been in constant love with it for all 8600 miles I’ve driven.
