1993 Mazda Miata

The Story

I owned this Miata for about a year and a half, and it's one of the few cars that I regret selling. This '93 Miata came with all the records back to the 90's, only 54k miles, bone stock, and had the original hardtop. It was mint!

I bought it back in 2016, before these were valuable. It replaced my S2000. Yes, that's right, I traded a Honda S2000 for a 23 year old Miata with faded paint. But I was smitten. I felt like Dustin Hoffman in The Graduate, driving around in my little red roadster.

The Miata was fun in a plucky sort of way! I learned a lot about car control from it. You can push a Miata to its limit and it doesn’t bite back. It’s pliable and forgiving. It was so unassuming and friendly, it brought a smile to people's faces. One day I'd like to find my old Miata and buy it back. I miss that little roadster....
