2017 Audi RS 3

I honestly did not plan on buying this car. My Audi SQ5 unexpectedly blew up on me, and I suddenly needed to find a replacement quickly. I made a post on social media asking if anyone knew of an RS3 for sale, and one of my friends connected me with another friend who had been preparing to sell this exact car.

At first, I was not completely sold on it. I did not want a red RS3, and I specifically did not want aluminum optic trim either. The moment I saw the car in person, my opinion completely changed. The Catalunya Red paired with the aluminum optic trim gives the car a much more classic Audi Sport look, and the combination ended up working far better than I ever expected.

This 2017 Audi RS3 is a rare and highly sought after Launch Edition model, one of just 250 units originally allocated to the United States during the RS3’s debut year in the American market. It’s also rumored that only around 118 cars ultimately made it into the United States due to emissions related constraints during production.

Finished in Catalunya Red Metallic, this example is believed to be one of only 18 RS3 Launch Editions delivered in this color across North America, making it exceptionally rare. The Launch Edition package included Napa leather with grey diamond stitching, carbon fiber inlays, Bang & Olufsen premium audio, 19 inch Titanium Rotor style wheels, red brake calipers, and several unique interior and exterior details that separated it from the standard RS3.

This particular car is equipped with the Dynamic Package rather than the Dynamic Plus Package, meaning it retains the adaptive magnetic ride suspension instead of the fixed suspension setup and does not include the carbon ceramic brakes. For a car that still sees regular street use, that combination honestly ended up being exactly what I wanted.
