1993 Subaru Legacy GT
The Story
This is my 1993 Legacy Turbo wagon, powered by one of the most bulletproof engines subaru made the EJ22T, T meaning turbo. It’s my 4th first gen Legacy wagon, but the first turbo since they’re really very hard to come by in the states even though they were sold in the US. I bought it at 125k miles, which is very low for these first gens (all my other ones were 250k+ ) and it’s in fantastic shape. Sunroof, auto power windows, cruise control, power mirrors, and the best part- automatic seatbelts- are all functional and in great shape. The Turbos got bigger brakes, bigger wheels, and a dope hood scoop that fed an air duct to cool the turbo, as the EJ22T’s are non inter cooled. It makes about 160hp so not one for racing but it makes a fantastic daily driver. Super smooth, reliable, easy to maintain, comfortable, and all the creature comforts of a modern day car.
