2018 BMW 330i

Hey! My name is Nick and I am 21 from Colorado. My love for cars began when I was a kid and my dad owed a 1968 Camaro, though it’s been in my bloodline for generations! I’d always wanted to build my own starting with a 2003 f150, moving to a 10th gen Honda civic, now landing on my 3 series wagon. I found it at a dealership and within a week took ownership! Starting pretty much that same week I would begin the journey of the next 7 months building a car that sits much different than how it did originally. I always wanted one of these and have videos and pictures of ones I saw in the wild years before I could’ve fathomed owning one. This one is a bit unique in the sense that it is a 2018, which is the last legal year a 3 series wagon was ever manufactured to be sold legally in the North American market. Being one of the last manufactured, it is a 330 and not a 328, meaning it has the more powerful b48 and higher trim packaging. It is a full OEM LCI with a loaded interior and a cold weather package. As far as 3 series wagons go, this one is as niche as they come from the factory! Through different career paths and a lot of hard work I landed a job at one of the most prestigious automotive restyling shops in Colorado and had learned how to build these cars at the highest level. I treat this type of work more like an art in the way that it is a release of creative expression and simultaneously doubles as a form of therapy. I’ve struggled with mental health for the better part of my life and cars have served as an escape to silence the noise! From getting my front end ran over by a semi truck, to chasing perfection in every modification I did, perseverance, patience, discipline, and constant setbacks grew me as a person over the months. More importantly, getting the opportunity to go through it all with my dad and my closest friends every night in the shop built a community and bond around me that I’d never had before. The conversations this car starts, the drives, the shows, the memories, the people I’ve met, interacted with, and grown closer to have all accumulated into saving my life! It’s kind of a corny cliche to say how “it’s more than just a car” but on the same token I think for most of us it’s always been about more than just flexing a tangible asset. For whatever your reason is, just keep going.
