The Story

Went out to get a poke bowl with a friend and we ended up coming home with a Corvair. Saw it on the side of the road for a price we couldn’t refuse and if even drove onto the trailer under its own power.

The prior owner said he got it from a gentleman who had it parked in a barn in PA since 1985. So yes, it literally is a barn find. After that the owner we bought it from got it running on a portable gas tank and replaced odds and ends to get it movable. He simply didn’t have space for it.

It’s certainly not a safe driver yet but under the care of myself and my buddy we’ll get it on the road again! Never thought I’d own a classic Corvair but I’m in love!
