2014 Nissan 370z Nismo

Throughout my formative years, I was not exposed to individuals who held a profound passion for automobiles. However, during my early teenage years, a particular car caught my eye on the streets, captivating me with its stunning appearance. Regrettably, I remained oblivious to the name of this vehicle. Eventually, I acquired my first car, a Jeep Wrangler, which provided me with a taste of the exhilaration that comes with driving. This vehicle was passed down to me from my father, and as I spent more time behind the wheel, I began to appreciate the freedom and enjoyment it afforded me.

As my driving experiences expanded, I found myself paying greater attention to the various cars that traversed the roads. Among them, there was one car in particular that continued to beckon to me. Coincidentally, my girlfriend, with whom I had been in a relationship for two and a half years, was recently bestowed a 2015 manual transmission FRS by her mother. This occurrence ignited a fire within me, compelling me to search relentlessly for the elusive car that had captured my imagination. At the age of 17, I embarked on a quest to scour dealership after dealership in pursuit of this enigmatic vehicle. I shared my fervor with my friends, father, and mother, hoping to spark their interest. Unfortunately, their response remained disinterested and aloof, making it incredibly challenging to convey my deep-seated passion for this particular car.

However, one evening, while dining with my parents, I casually mentioned a car that bore the letter "Z" in its name. To my astonishment, my mother interjected, exclaiming, "Z? I used to own a 280ZX when I was around 24 years old." This revelation sent an electrifying jolt through my being, solidifying my resolve to acquire this car. My relentless search continued unabated, as I scoured every possible avenue to trade in my Jeep for the elusive car of my dreams. Yet, being a mere 17-year-old, burdened by a hand-me-down Jeep still registered under my father's name, convincing him took months of persistent effort. Finally, after ten months of tireless research, including hours spent watching YouTube videos and browsing Instagram reels, my father relented, and I found a 2019 370Z in Alabama.

At that juncture, my fascination with automobiles had grown to such an extent that I desired to master the art of driving a manual transmission. However, my father adamantly advised against it, insisting that if I were to trade in my Jeep for the Z, it had to be an automatic. Unwilling to accept this restriction, I resolved to prove him wrong. On May 17th, 2022, my father and I embarked on a four-hour journey to Alabama to acquire my first Nissan 370Z. The moment I laid eyes on it, I was consumed by an overwhelming sense of affection for the car. I cherished this vehicle for approximately seven months, creating countless cherished memories along the way.

As my involvement in the automotive community deepened, my desire for a specific model intensified—a 2014 Nismo edition of the car I had come to adore. With the car now officially under my name, I diligently scoured Facebook and local dealerships in search of the coveted 2014 Nismo edition. Despite my persistent attempts to persuade my parents to support my decision to trade my automatic transmission for a manual, they remained unyielding in their resistance. Then, one fortuitous day in 2014, a 370Z Nismo of the desired year appeared at a nearby dealership. Without hesitation, I promptly visited the dealership the following morning and traded in my car, incredibly securing the deal for an equitable price.

As I write, I am the proud owner of a 2014 Nissan 370Z Nismo which have owed for 3 months, with a mileage of a mere 64,000 miles. This car fills me with an indescribable joy, evoking a smile on my face every time I gaze upon it. I have finally realized my long-standing aspiration, having arrived at the destination I had always yearned for. Currently, I am immersing myself in the world of automotive photography, eagerly anticipating the acquisition of a camera to pursue this newfound passion. This represents my next step in immersing myself in car culture and capturing the essence of automobiles through captivating visuals.
